Jan 02, 2017 · I also had a problem with PIA VPN, Plex and Synology (in my case DS718+) and can confirm @elliottlock’s method works. Turn off VPN on Synology, make sure the connection works with a specific port in PMS which you also forward in your router, turn on VPN on Synology and the remote will still be working. When I use the same server and credentials on my Windows machine (same network) I have no problem. I also tried both UDP and TCP options in the OpenVPN files.
